Authoriti.ai was not created in an accelerator. It was founded in the gap between what council officers are asked to deliver and the tools they are given to deliver it with.

Before building this platform, we worked inside local government: supporting planning services, running transformation programmes and building the digital infrastructure councils actually run on. We have sat in the case conferences, managed the statutory deadlines, answered to elected members and watched skilled professional officers spend their evenings copying objections out of PDF bundles into Word templates.

We are not a technology startup guessing at how councils work. We built Authoriti.ai because the software we have used in the past has never quite made the grade.

That experience is why the platform looks the way it does. It is why evidence and AI narrative are structurally separated - because we know what a statutory record is. It is why every claim can be traced back to its source, because we know what can happen at appeal if claims cannot be backed up.

Planning was the obvious place to start, because planning is where the document burden, policy complexity and public engagement volumes collide hardest. It will not be where we stop.
